The monoclonal anti-digoxigenin antibody (clone 2G9) has a high affinity to digoxigenin-labeled probes, and is suitable for a variety of immunodetection procedures, such as ELISA, Hybridization.
The anti-digoxigenin (DIG) antibody is produced from mouse hybridoma cell line (clone 2G9) which was created by cell fusion between the spleen cells (from DIG-immunized mice) and SP2 cells. Digoxigenin is a plant-produced molecule which is not found in animal or human tissues. The synthetic digoxigenin derivatives is used to label nucleic acid probes for applications such as in situ hybridization (FISH, CISH). The anti-digoxigenin antibody (clone 2G9) has a high affinity to bind DIG-labeled probes, and the detection can be visualized by employing enzyme-conjugated or fluorescent-labeled anti-mouse antibodies.
